Delivery and collection
Works may be collected by appointment or delivered using specialist art transport, an insured courier or another agreed method appropriate to the nature and value of the work.
Shipping, insurance, packing, customs charges and taxes are normally payable by the buyer unless expressly included in the agreed purchase price.
International delivery
We will provide an estimated delivery timetable, but international delivery may be affected by customs procedures, export licensing, transport availability and other circumstances outside our reasonable control. High-value or fragile works may be delivered only using an approved specialist carrier.
Receiving a work
The buyer should inspect the packaging and work promptly following delivery and notify us immediately of any apparent transit damage. Keep all packing material until the matter has been resolved with us and, where applicable, the carrier or insurer.
Release of works
No work will normally be released until full cleared payment and any required compliance checks have been completed.
Returns
Returns are governed by our Terms and Conditions of Sale and any statutory consumer rights applying to the transaction. A work must not be returned without first contacting Alderton & Grey so that appropriate packing, insurance and transport arrangements can be agreed.
